YOU CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS TOO

YOU CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS TOO

If you really believe in something, there will be no room for fear. If you master fear, you can move mountains too. Faith eliminates all limits to deal with difficult situations. Positive thinking works! Especially in the face of defeat and rejection. Try to expect the best instead of the worst. Try to tell yourself at all times, that you deserve the best. Never doubt yourself, because otherwise you will cease to function the way you should. A winner attracts a good outcome! Defeat is never permanent. You make life harder than it really is, by imagining things, which should not be considered realistic anyway. Try to minimize things, that tend to sap your energy. Your immediate goal in life is to get rid of cynicism and hopelessness.

Don’t deny yourself the rewards, that are rightfully yours. Who said so? You did! You are intent on clearing the way to the fulfillment of your potential. You need a constantly renewable source of energy in order to be able to restore your life again and again. You certainly want to avoid ‘burnout’, so make sure, that you are surrounded by people, who are better than you. That’s the only way to feel challenged, which is a condition to improve your situation time and time again. Without feedback from rivals, you will hit the rocks. Don’t act like a blind man, walking near a cliff.

The vital question you have to ask yourself is, if you are ready and able to jump into the unknown. Without such seemingly terrifying experiences, you won’t grow. You have to find a way of overcoming personal limitations. You sometimes have to see life as an adventure, breaking new frontiers in order to discover your real self. Life is a race against time and you may have no choice than to make things happen yourself. The world owes you nothing and couldn’t care less, if you don’t manage to rise above yourself. But once you do, then magic happens.

MONEY AND POWER

MONEY AND POWER

The drive for money and power often leads to unspeakable horrors. Nature is quite unforgiving, if both seem to be big enough, to risk all. Eat or be eaten, leaving all considerations of ethics aside! But mankind has not yet found a way to become immortal and therefore, each human being will eventually have to justify life’s actions on the day of reckoning at the end of life’s road. Life will become a lot easier if regrets in life can be limited to a bare minimum. This would mean restraining the ‘natural’ urge to do things, which may be regretted later.

Greed is good. Wouldn’t that benefit society as a whole and ‘feed the kids’? Not, if accompanied by cheating. Decency and integrity should always be part of the culture, otherwise society will eventually turn against those, who try to infect its moral fabric.  There is no hope of getting away with dishonesty. It only lasts for so long and muddles the waters. Losing a reputation can be much worse than losing any possessions. A stain on your good name is nearly impossible to get rid of.

Are the unpleasant consequences of money and power grabs therefore ‘unstoppable’? How do you deal with a ‘no more mr. nice guy’ attitude? Fact is, that survival remains uppermost in the minds of us all. We do go along with dubious policies for far too long. However, the threat to those with money and power cannot be underestimated as well. Nature has a way of upsetting the apple cart in more ways than one! Nothing is permanent. No, Sir.

IT'S NOT OVER, UNTIL IT'S OVER

IT’S NOT OVER, UNTIL IT’S OVER

Are you a quitter? Have you stopped pushing yourself? Are you losing your optimism? Why don’t you look in the mirror and ask yourself: if today were the last day of my life, what would I do, besides getting my things ‘in order’? You sure wouldn’t want to waste one more minute of that day! And since you never know if today is your last day, merely looking at yourself in the mirror every day will change your life. Your life will never be the same again! It’s hard changing your life, but now you have given yourself no choice. This is it. No ifs or buts. Nothing will stop you now, neither the fear of failure, nor the fear of success. Just do it. Just deal with it. There is no more time to lose. If life knocks you down, get up. You want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe. Remember, you have a lot of people to prove wrong, especially yourself. The biggest enemy could be you. There’s a lot of work to do!

Say YES to your potential. Do you really know yourself? You may know other people better than yourself. Tell yourself, that you ARE phenomenal. You’ll discover, that you’re much better than you ever thought you were. That’s because magic happens, when you continue to believe in yourself. Faith and passion in what you love doing, will lead to wonderful things and keep you going. That’s the way life works. EVERYBODY is talented in certain things. Your mission is to pursue, what works best for you, and you will be in great demand. You will be rewarded tremendously. You don’t have to be perfect, nobody is. This may not be the perfect time, either, but that is most often the case. Therefore, CREATE what borders on perfection, while making every second count. Live your dream! The bigger and scarier your dream, the better.

Never become satisfied. You may think, that you’ve reached your goal, but focus on what will keep you in the game. Don’t talk yourself out of the competition. There will be plenty of time later, if mind and body no longer cooperate, to succumb to ‘slowing down’.

YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE, NOT YOUR PAST

YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE, NOT YOUR PAST

It’s high time you stopped looking back. The past is full of issues, which seem to be cropping up if you fail to move on. Focus rather on where you can make a difference. It’s the Present and the Future, never the Past. Living in the past may be tempting, even irresistible, but what really matters is Today, which is the first day of the rest of your life. If you feel you have enough time to look back at all, by all means concentrate on dear memories:

My left hand remembers
The feel of your right hand;
Now that we’re apart, I remember that warmth
I’ll never forget it

(‘Dear Memories’ - Tomiko Van)

This is a great time to be alive (Martin Luther King), because today, the opportunities in technology, biotechnology, robotics, bionics (rebuilding the human body) and communication seem endless. Mankind may be at the beginning of another incredible revolution. Our lives will be transformed, again. Don’t be discouraged by the confusing economic and political crosscurrents, because there’s nothing new under the sun. These too will pass, so don’t despair. You will survive and grow stronger, just like your forefathers before you. To become part of such an exciting future should be foremost in your mind. Don’t let the present reality ever stand in the way of the dream you think you deserve. Remember, you are unique. There really is no one like you in the whole wide world! Who knows, what life has in store for you, over time. Patience, like the penguin, and a positive mental attitude, are all that’s required to stay afloat.

What about being beamed from one location to another by teleportation? O.K., not around the corner yet, but technological developments are accelerating. The current generation probably never heard of VCR, which rapidly became obsolete, even before it really took off. Could we one day transform the brain into a supercomputer? Could we one day become ‘superhuman’, as we perceive wavelengths of light, frequencies of sounds and other types of energy, which had hitherto been considered beyond the reach of human beings?

So, this promises to become a ‘hot’ party. Be there or be square!

WEALTH: SIMPLE, BUT NOT EASY

WEALTH: SIMPLE, BUT NOT EASY

The basics of accumulating vast amounts of wealth are simple, but not easy. You simply have to shut out the world and focus on the essence of compounding, which is often called the eighth wonder of the world. It takes independence of mind and incredible hard work to become comfortable, buying good businesses, that you believe in, at a discount to intrinsic value over a long period of time. It takes amazing patience, because nobody really knows in advance the ‘perfect’ timing of any purchase. But if you finally have built up the confidence in a particular business, after painstaking due diligence, and if you have truly done your homework, then you are ready to buy and buy more at any price, especially if it goes lower. You are investing, based on your conviction. This also means, that you take the volatility of markets in stride. The unpredictable bigger picture does not concern you as much. Your primary concern is the viability and the potential of your business over the longer term. If you are worried about the possible madness of crowds, which may affect global markets from time to time, which could temporarily shrink your Net Worth by half, then maybe you should not be investing in the first place.

Alas, life remains a struggle. The vast majority of companies in existence today, are destined to disappear in the long term due to a variety of reasons. Therefore, it’s unwise to put all your eggs in one basket. Spreading your investments and mitigating risk, will be especially challenging in the beginning, but those attempts have to be made. Before you may hit the jackpot, there will be times, when you wonder if you’ll make it. But that is precisely how you’ll become a great investor. ‘Stuff happens’ (Rumsfeld) all the time. As long as you manage to survive, you can move on. Another chance, another opportunity! But a ‘killer instinct’ you can’t do without. Right!

All it takes to start a fortune is: Save and Invest. This is powerful information, but how many actually do it? It requires constant discipline. Do you realize the future value of whatever is being spent today? How much future wealth is missed out that way? It’s huge! It would make you instantly FRUGAL. That’s how great fortunes are made. You don’t actually have to be smart at all. Extravagant speculators may hit the headlines, making and losing fortunes, but history does not judge them kindly.

Maybe you are hungry and motivated enough to start your own business. Many entrepreneurs had no choice. Failure was not an option. With drive, determination and ambition, any temporary setbacks can be overcome. It’s the greatest adventure of all time, if you feel it’s in your blood.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

You’re just too good to be true
can’t take my eyes off of you
you’d be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
at long last love has arrived
and I thank God I’m alive’ (Lauryn Hill)

So good as to be unbelievable? Hold it! There are times, that you are at the right place at the right time as if luck would have it. It’s so good and it’s actually true, after all! You may never have imagined, how lucky you got with your partner, with your kids or with your job. But does Lady Luck really knock on your door? Why not sit on the sidelines and complain, that life is unfair, if that just doesn’t seem to happen. However, when you got lucky at times, you actually attracted, what you had focused on. You made it happen.

Sometimes you may find yourself in such a bind, that nothing short of a miracle may do. You will have no choice, but to create your own luck. ‘The harder you work, the luckier you get’ (Gary Player). Overnight success is rare. Don’t let that put you off! If you really, really want it and you hope and pray for it, then things seem to fall into place, as if by remote control.

Blood, sweat and tears always pay off in the end, as long as you keep the faith, that Lady Luck is getting curious. She may warm to your enthusiasm! You may have the last laugh, if all your efforts prove to be a hit and life indeed becomes too good to be true.

SABOTAGING YOUR OWN SUCCESS?

SABOTAGING YOUR OWN SUCCESS?

In order to become successful, you just have to go out and do, whatever it takes. Chances are, that you will fail most of the time, before you are finally successful. Over time, you will figure out, what works and what doesn’t. So even if you try and do it seemingly against the odds, you should ask yourself: what if I don’t do it? The answer may well be, that failure to do something that should be done, could be much worse. It could be a choice you’ll regret for the rest of your life. So, let there be no excuses for putting things off!

Also, if you are your own person, you are your own master. The whole world is your oyster. You cannot dare ‘too much’. You are truly self-reliant and often a non-conformist. You have a shot at real freedom and opportunity. But if you dare not to look beyond your little worlds, you do not know, what you are missing. It’s really up to yourself to break away from those limitations. Don’t become a hostage to comfortable conformity: that is not ‘you’! Give yourself wings and you may become free as a bird. But above all, you will become less insecure. You have overcome fear and ignited self-confidence. Now you can show the world, what you are really worth. You are truly off to the races!

The world couldn’t care less about your thoughts or about whether you will remain a ‘passenger’ in life. Life is being judged by its results. That’s why you have to act. Life rewards action. Stop doing, what obviously is not working! Stop being a ‘victim’. Take responsibility for the life you are leading. Be realistic. Identify the payoff you absolutely need and then you will gain control of whatever further action you will take.

You can wish for anything you want, but if you don’t know where you are going, you are not even in the race! You better know, how the ‘system’ works. Otherwise you will have to be prepared for rejection, which is exactly what you want to avoid. It’s up to yourself to make sure, that life unfolds the way you would really like it to. Success is no big mystery as long as your strategy remains smart.
