JUMP START YOUR ENERGY

JUMP START YOUR ENERGY

Are you struggling to keep up? Are you constantly exhausted? If only you had unlimited energy! The reality is, that you don't seem to have enough time and energy to make it all happen all the time. There are plenty of potential energy drainers in both your professional and personal life. Do you want, what you can't get? Do you run away from things you don't like?

Since life began on earth 4 billion years ago, plants and animals evolved on the basis of 'survival of the fittest'. Only the strongest creatures survived and you're one of them! There are an unimaginable number of life forms, all struggling to survive. You're part of this miracle.

You can have as much energy as you need, if you are faced with an immediate challenge. You will feel much more energetic if you have to. You're only using a fraction of your energy and of your brain at any given time. You have got much more energy than you ever thought you had. If you have been put on the spot, you have no choice but to deliver. Then there is no room for excuses.

As soon as you discover, that you can become more energetic, you've found the key to being happy. There's nothing worse than when your energy feels at a low ebb. That's an unnatural state of affairs anyway, so refuse to give in. Always act energetic and you will feel that way too. You will be an inspiration to others. The truth is, that there is an unlimited supply of energy that you can tap into with the right mindset.

It's important that you find ways to maintain your energy level. Enough sleep, with regular naps if needed, meditate, exercise, relax with the right food and drink, but above all, develop a sense of mission, which provides you with all the energy you need. Discipline yourself. Take good care of yourself first and you're all ready to go.

Don't wage losing battles, which drain your energy. You don't have control over the awful things, that may or may not happen in the future. Most of these things aren't even real. Also, don't relive the past. You'll regret the many things you have or haven't done. It's over! Be here now. Focus on what's going right and be thankful for being alive and well.

JUST YOU WAIT

JUST YOU WAIT

Sounds familiar? It seems, that you have a million things to do and you fight, like you're running out of time ('Non-Stop', Musical 'Hamilton'). Or it seems, that you fail to 'keep up with the Joneses' and it looks like you're falling behind. Or it seems, that keeping up appearances is a losing battle. Enough for an inferiority complex! You might yearn for something you can't easily get, like some spectacular achievement. The strong desire for something may be accompanied by: 'I'll be back, just you wait'.

An experience of weakness, helplessness and dependency will disrupt your emotional processes, unless you turn around and fight back. Make your move and make it soon. Nothing is impossible in this life. Miracles do happen all the time. But why compare yourself to others, whose situation you don't really know? Why would you care? Think about what your goals are for your life. Isn't it much easier to find contentment with the things you do have rather than chasing what you don't?

What everyone around you seems to be doing is nothing else than crowd behavior. A herd mentality is largely emotional, because a crowd cannot think and tends to become irrational. Stay true to yourself! Why would you be like a sheep blindly following the flock no matter where they go because that's just what the herd is doing? That's a recipe for bad decisions! Once you separate yourself from the pack, you'll be able to think clearly again. You'll be able to create something of real value and you can begin to build a following of true fans, who hold you in high regard. 'Just you wait' suddenly sounds very different.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

No matter what has happened or is happening, as long as you firmly believe, that the best is yet to come, then you will keep going. If you have any doubts about the future, you will not survive. Even if life is good now, you should never go easy on yourself. Otherwise, your energy will be drained as soon as you feel that you're not faced with challenges. In order to recharge your mind and body you need to revive your energy by focusing on your own self-confidence. You must get rid of this 'undeserving' feeling. You need to recognize your strengths and positives. Then you will feel able to become unrestrained and go for the jugular, whatever the odds.

You deserve it, whatever it is. That's a great feeling. You now have something to look forward to and you can't possibly go wrong. It may be a job, a romance, a home or a car. Perhaps an illustrated thermometer on the wall, which measures your progress towards achieving your specific goals, helps. Discipline yourself to keep on track. As circumstances change, don't hesitate to review your goals regularly, but always keep moving.

Low self-esteem is a killer. That would make life really hard. That affects your interaction with people and enjoy the things you like. Life is sometimes very tough with relationships breaking down and career paths interrupted. That comes with the territory. Climbing up the different ladders in life is a constant challenge, which should be seen as a sport. Good times never last, but as long as you remain excited about 'the best is yet to come', you will jump out of bed in the morning and put more work into your hours than anyone else.

Stress is a - silent -  killer too. But if you don't get stuck in the past and if you have many tasks in your to-do list, then you don't have time to even think of any ailments and complaints. Don't let your emotions overtake you. Go play with your pet and simply let it pass. Always think of the possible sensation of whatever the best is, that is yet to come!

RELENTLESS

RELENTLESS

Attributed to the 30th President of the United States, CALVIN COOLIDGE (1923 - 1929):

Nothing in this world can take the place of PERSISTENCE. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

President Calvin Coolidge succeeded, as Vice President, his predecessor President Warren G. Harding, who died unexpectedly while in office. He went on to win the next election and therefore served as President for 6 years. He was famous for being a man of few words ('silent Cal'), but during his Presidency ('the Roaring Twenties'),  America experienced impressive economic growth, albeit mostly debt-driven. This would eventually lead to the Great Economic Depression of the 1930's. But Coolidge will always be remembered for his no-nonsense approach, his honesty and his integrity.

Being relentless and unstoppable, rather than being casual and easy-going, will deliver the results needed to become successful. As long as you are driven by reaching specific objectives, you have become a goal-oriented type, rather than a person on autopilot. There is always the temptation to relax, but as soon as you realize, that it is a race against time, then you will press ahead and get the job done. Because otherwise, you're done!

If you are really, really determined, keep trying and never give up, you can be annoying. But some things are inevitable. It is what it is. You may even be accused of being narcissistic: a deep need for excessive attention and admiration. There is always a price to pay if you stand out from the crowd. That's why you have to be relentless and fearless. Mind you, your working life is too short to worry about the fallout, while realizing your dreams.

You are your worst enemy, because it's so easy to be distracted.  Excuses abound in tough times! Become like Coolidge, a man of few words and a lot of action. Trust your instincts. Bite the bullet, otherwise you will bite the dust.
