PIE IN THE SKY

PIE IN THE SKY

You will eat, bye and bye,
In that glorious land above the sky;
Work and pray, live on hay,
You'll get pie in the sky when you die
(Joe Hill - 1911)

Promises, promises! Aren’t we led down the garden path ever so often? More often than not, the desired outcomes appear unrealistic. But here’s the thing. It doesn’t matter. Ninety percent of your hopes and prayers in life will not come true anyway, but it’s the remaining ten percent, that is worth fighting for, waiting for and living for. Once you realize, that you may have reached this promised land of 10 percent, then nobody can wipe the smile off your face. It feels so good!

Most of your aspirations may well remain pipe dreams, but if you have enough other irons in the fire, chances are, that you will hit the jackpot. The real obstacle to success is you, because of your fear of failure. Nobody or nothing else is to blame. Success can often only be attained if you are ready for countless failures, believe it or not. As long as you stay the course and remain driven to succeed, you are actually never at risk of defeat. If you set your mind, most of the time, to what you ultimately want to achieve, then your visualization makes things happen. It is the mission, that will keep you going.You are in the business of creating your own future. So you are constantly looking forward to what might be.

Have you ever thought of leaving your comfort zone and of leaving your low-aspirations mindset behind? Are you irritated enough about your present situation? You need to be totally fed up. Take control of your destiny and get to work. Try and limit the endless daily distractions to a minimum. It takes courage to create your own paradise. Just start small and then you are off to the races. But you have to go out and just do it. You don’t know, how long you’ve got. You will discover, that you can’t be bothered, what and how long it takes. As long as you feel, that you are making progress, whatever the world may be throwing at you. Now you’ve got the bug. Now you’ve got the fire. You may not be able to walk on water, but it certainly feels that way.

Your background is irrelevant. Really. Some very successful people never had the opportunity to learn how to read and write. Really. Daring to dream is all you need. Right now? Never wait until you feel you are ready. You’ll wait forever. Act on your ideas and think that you can do a much better job than everybody else. Then others will notice and you will attract the business you need and want. You’ll find, that you will enjoy this journey. You will jump in the air and stay there (Lyrics by Erykah Badu).
